Transport Manager UK & Ireland

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of our UK & Ireland fleet. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring a safe compliant cost-effective and future-ready fleet operation that supports both daily Service delivery and long-term business growth.

What Youll Be Responsible For

• Developing and delivering the fleet strategy including growth replacement and lifecycle planning

• Ensuring full legal compliance with DVSA and Operators Licence requirements

• Overseeing vehicle maintenance roadworthiness and inspections

• Leading driver compliance safety training and performance management

• Managing fuel telematics and operational efficiency through data-led decision making

• Owning the fleet budget Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and supplier contracts

• Driving sustainability initiatives including low-emission and EV transition

• Producing performance compliance and cost reports for senior leadership

• Managing external suppliers and service partners

• Leading risk management health & safety and incident response

• Acting as key liaison with regulators insurers auditors and internal stakeholders

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Business Logistics Transport or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• CPC (or equivalent)

• Proven experience in fleet or transport management within a multi-site operation

• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and Operators Licence compliance

• Experience managing budgets TCO and supplier contracts

• Confident use of telematics fuel systems and fleet analytics

• Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills

• A proactive solutions-focused approach with a strong safety and compliance mindset
