Job Summary

The Amazon Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) team manages supply contracts post execution provides controllership and governance of energy spend tracks environmental attributes and ensures our energy supply portfolio is compliant with external regulations contract obligations as well as internal policies. You will be a part of the team responsible for managing the worlds largest portfolio of corporate renewable energy contracts.

We are looking for an individual to join our OpXL team and enhance our programs including onboarding new energy projects and contracts overseeing the flow of critical operating data into downstream systems analyzing and reporting Utility Energy contract performance tracking key contractual metrics and obligations and managing compliance obligation reporting. The right candidate can manage multiple projects simultaneously has strong contract management skills experience with business processes and experience defining and reporting metrics in BI tools.

Key job responsibilities
Support overseeing energy agreements and invoice ingestion management globally.
Support the on-boarding process for energy contracts and Data Center site locations across different geographies with a large number of counterparties and internal stakeholders. Track progress and drive for successful completion.
Support data connectivity activities including oversight of vendors and service providers planning and scheduling activities commercial issue resolution and overall management of data connections.
Report and analyze portfolio performance in collaboration with other teams identifying impacts to our business units and our customers.
Support the management of the contractual obligations with counterparties and drive internal processes and workflows to fulfill obligations on Amazons behalf.
Plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations. Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazons management of its energy portfolio.
Work collaboratively with other AWS and Amazon teams to support the management of the energy programs.
Consolidate portfolio reporting KPIs to help define program goals and use metrics to draw business insights.
Support invoicing accounts payable/receivable workflows to ensure transaction readiness and continuity of operations.
Support Energy compliance obligation tracking reporting filing and fulfillment.
Oversee outside spend contract management including onboarding budgeting forecasting and conflict resolution.

A day in the life
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers. You will prioritize your activities to support data center capacity delivery availability and safety focusing on the actions that are most impactful. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 3 years of project/program management experience
- Experience in Excel (including VBA pivot tables array functions power pivots etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau

- Experience coordinating cross-functional inputs meeting deadlines and effectively managing competing priorities
- Experience with supplier or vendor relationship management
- Experience in project management including resource planning managing schedules reporting project status and prioritizing tasks
- Experience working in utility/energy industry - compliance regulatory asset/contract management market operations or similar.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
