Your Opportunity
As a Fleet Maintenance Planner you will be responsible for coordinating both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities across multiple Authorised Maintenance Organisations (AMO) ensuring aircraft safety regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Heavy Maintenance Planning Manager you will work with a high degree of autonomy within the delegated responsibilities outlined in the Maintenance Operations Procedure Manual (MOPM). In addition to managing complex planning tasks you will provide critical engineering input into decision-making processes related to disruption and operational management. All decisions must prioritise safety and compliance above all else.
Youll be responsible for:
- Delivering maintenance work packages with no overruns or AD breaches
- Coordinating with support staff to plan maintenance within MOU limits and optimise task utilisation
- Deferral rescheduling and concession of maintenance tasks
- Complying with Jetstar Corporate OHS responsibilities
- Support business development & continuous improvement
- Comply with Jetstar Corporate & Departmental Service Standards
To be successful in this role ideally youll have:
- Detailed understanding of Aircraft Line/Ramp Maintenance and Operations
- Ideally 12 months experience in Aviation Maintenance Planning (desirable)
- Ability to undertake occasional travel when required (infrequent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Proficiency with Trax or similar MIS
Were on the hunt for someone with a Maintenance Planning background (ideally in Aviation) demonstrates a strong work ethic communicates effectively and brings a proactive approach to improving efficiencies. Relevant qualifications in Aviation/Aerospace/Engineering are a bonus but not essential.
