Job Connect are seeking a permanent full time MaintenanceMechanical Fitterto be a Maintenance Lead for a small maintenance team in an incredibly successful international manufacturing business centered on manufacturing specific building product lines. This Wacol located Manufacturing Plant is quite new with good facilities - which will be a relief to many overworked Maintenance Fitters whove serviced older factories!
- Salary package upwards of $50/hr Shift Loading Overtime and Super *we are negotiable!*
- Profit Sharing Bonus structure offering roughly $3000 per quarter have not missed a bonus payment in 10 years!
- Breakdown on call structure with back up and reasonable OT opportunities you have back-up!

The role will include:
- Preventative maintenance of PLC driven manufacturing machines blenders mixers agitators and fast packaging machines
- Maintenance of conveyor systems including flat and screw conveyors
- Routine inspection of plant and production machinery
- Responding to breakdowns and fault finding when required
The most ideal candidates will possess as desirable but not essential:
- Career history in Maintenance Fitting of Factory Machines
- Experience in preventative maintenance breakdowns/fault finding in any Fast Moving Consumer Goods factory (food/beverage dry goods or consumables)
- Working knowledge of PLC controlled machines with particular focus on gearboxes pneumatics agitators hoppers flat conveyors and screw conveyors
- Experience with a maintenance management system
- Can have prior team leadership experience or simply be a senior tradesperson looking to step up. This is an excellent means to make the transition to Leadership or take a currently busy/chaotic Leadership role and make it more manageable!
