Position Summary: The Hydraulic Shop Manager oversees daily operations of the hydraulic repair and service shop ensuring efficient workflow quality standards and customer satisfaction. This role includes managing personnel maintaining inventory enforcing safety protocols and driving continuous improvement in hydraulic systems repair and maintenance. Key Responsibilities: - Operations Management:
- Supervise and coordinate all hydraulic repair and maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of work orders and adherence to quality standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage train and mentor shop technicians.
- Schedule workloads and assign tasks effectively.
- Inventory & Equipment:
- Maintain adequate stock of parts and supplies.
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of shop tools and equipment.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate with clients regarding repair status estimates and technical issues.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean organized shop environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Reporting & Budgeting:
- Monitor expenses and assist in budgeting for shop operations.
- Prepare reports on productivity costs and performance metrics.
Qualifications: - Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in hydraulic systems repair with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Ability to manage inventory and budgets.
- Proficiency in shop management software and MS Office.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in a shop environment.
- Standing bending and manual dexterity required for extended periods.
