About the Project

HumeLink is one of Australias largest energy infrastructure projects delivering critical transmission lines to connect renewable energy sources to the grid. For the East section of the project were seeking a dedicated Competency Administrator to ensure workforce compliance and capability across all operations.

Role Overview

As the Competency Administrator you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining competency records for all project personnel. Youll ensure that training certifications and qualifications meet project and regulatory requirements supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update competency and training records in the project database.

  • Verify qualifications licenses and certifications for all employees and contractors.

  • Coordinate training schedules and liaise with training providers.

  • Generate compliance reports for internal audits and client requirements.

  • Support onboarding processes by ensuring competency documentation is complete.

  • Assist in developing and implementing competency frameworks aligned with project standards.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Previous experience in competency administration training coordination or similar role.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and competency management systems (e.g. SAP INX or similar).

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external providers.

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements in construction or energy projects (preferred).
