Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator.
Tech Level: Senior Lead
Language Proficiency: Intermediate (English Russian)
Employment type: Part-time with possible transition to full-time
Candidate Location: Remote from multiple countries
Working Time Zone: EU
Start: ASAP
Planned Work Duration: 3 months
Customer Description:
The customer is a licensed IPTV service provider offering a wide range of channels and video content.
The platform targets an international audience and provides an entertainment experience across multiple devices including Smart TVs mobile apps and PCs.
Project Phase: ongoing
Hard Skills / Must Have:
Deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture.
Experience with indexes queries and execution plans.
Skills in configuring parameters to improve performance.
Ability to perform performance analysis and identify bottlenecks.
Knowledge of data encryption methods in PostgreSQL.
Experience working with SSL/TLS to secure connections.
Skills in configuring and managing encrypted tables and columns.
Understanding of data security principles and relevant standards.
Experience in planning and executing PostgreSQL migrations.
Knowledge of new features and improvements in the latest PostgreSQL versions.
Ability to test and validate migrations.
Skills in change management and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
DBA on PostgreSQL
Database optimization
Data encryption
Migration to the latest PostgreSQL version
