Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

Our client in Paarl is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Weighbridge & Logistics/Receiving Supervisor to oversee the daily coordination of fruit deliveries from producers. This role is ideal for a recent Agricultural College graduate or someone with a logistics or agricultural background who is eager to start their career in the fruit industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage weighbridge operations during fruit intake.
Liaise with farmers and producers regarding delivery schedules and bin availability.
Coordinate logistics for incoming fruit ensuring smooth and efficient offloading.
Work closely with forklift drivers (approximately 20% of the role involves supervising truck movement and positioning).
Maintain accurate administrative records and documentation related to deliveries.
Build and manage strong relationships with producers and suppliers.
Support general operational tasks as needed on the premises (no farm work required).

REQUIREMENTS

Matric and/or a Bachelors degree in Agriculture Logistics or a related field.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with farmers and producers.
Excellent administrative and organisational abilities.
Reliable adaptable and willing to work irregular hours during peak season.
A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems on the go.

SALARY

R15 000 CTC (negotiable)
