Overview
Our client is a global supply chain company and they are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior IT System Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is key to ensuring the stability security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure and systems. Reporting to the IT Manager the Senior IT System Specialist will provide comprehensive technical support across Level 1 to Level 3 (L1-L3) manage IT operations and oversee system integration across diverse technologies. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with teams globally while contributing to innovative IT solutions supporting diverse business needs.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical assistance at Levels 1-3 (L1-L3) to resolve IT-related issues efficiently and effectively.
- Infrastructure & Networking: Manage maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure including networks servers and telecommunications.
- System Monitoring & Server Room Management: Monitor and maintain the server room environment and infrastructure ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Server Administration: Administer and manage Windows and Linux servers ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.
- Helpdesk Support: Address end-user IT requests promptly troubleshoot problems and provide on-site and remote support to global teams.
- System Integration: Oversee and execute system integration projects ensuring compatibility and seamless function across platforms.
- IT Access Management: Manage enterprise IT access rights and policies in alignment with organizational security and compliance requirements.
- Software Management: Manage and administer Active Directory Office 365 Power Automation and other critical enterprise applications.
- Networking Technologies: Administer Cisco IP phones and ensure smooth operation of telecommunication services.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams IT vendors and global stakeholders to maintain transparent communication and deliver effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of IT-related experience with expertise in technical support across L1-L3.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers as well as infrastructure management.
- Proven proficiency in Active Directory Office 365 Power Automation and Cisco IP phones.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure networking protocols and system integration.
- Skills in remote IT support for global teams.
- Proactive monitoring and server room environment management experience.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to effectively address technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and attention to detail.
- Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g. Microsoft Cisco ITIL MCSA CCNA etc.) are a plus.
- Global Support: Flexibility to provide remote support to APAC teams and work across time zones when necessary.
- Good command in both written and speaken in English and Chinese (Conversational in mandarin is acceptable).
