Job Summary
The Company
Our client is a boutique commercial construction company made up of a small team with extensive experience in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 commercial construction sector. With a loyal list of repeat clients they have a consistent pipeline of high-quality work. They have all the right systems and processes in place to deliver multi-level residential dwellings of all shapes and sizes up to $70m in project value.
The Role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join with the chance to be promoted as soon as you pass probation (6 months). If you have the right experience and attitude you wont be held back This could be the perfect opportunity to step up knowing you have a supportive management team that back you to succeed.
You can be office or site based with the opportunity to work remotely when needed. As the CA you will be responsible for managing all the financial outcomes for the project from procurement of trades progress claims close management of variations and more. You will take ultimate responsibility for the projects out comes by stepping up to Project Manager.
You will administer and manage the cost reporting process and work closely with the Directors and Site Manager on Design issues and remedies.
The Project
This social housing project has a build value of circa $18m and will consist of a mix of 60 studio 1 and 2 bed apartments. There is a carpark on ground level with 6 levels of accommodation above.
About You
To be considered for the role have a Bachelor of Construction Management (or similar). You will have at least 5 years experience as a CA and have worked on multi-level structures preferably apartments and for the Principal Contractor.
You will be used to operating with the systems and processes involved with Tier 2 commercial contracting.
You will have client focussed approach and look for mutually beneficial outcomes for will be an excellent communicator (both verbal and written). .
In Return
There is a salary of up to $200k Super for the right candidate. You will have continuity of work in the northern suburbs and the opportunity to provide support on future ECIs
