As Director of Early Intervention & Prevention (EI&P) you will be a senior leader within Birmingham City Councils Adult Social Care Executive Directorate Management Team (EDMT). This is a pivotal role shaping the Councils approach to prevention and resilience across services that touch thousands of lives.

You will lead the design and delivery of Early Intervention and Prevention (EI&P) programmes that reduce demand on statutory services including Adult Social Care Childrens Social Care SEND and Homelessness. Acting as the Councils strategic voice with the voluntary community and faith sector you will engage with over 4000 organisations to ensure local provision meets local need.
You will drive antipoverty initiatives oversee the Household Support Fund and champion citizen engagement in service design while also leading transformation across libraries adult education safeguarding domestic abuse partnerships asylum and resettlement programmes and community intelligence. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Adult Social Care and Health you will work closely with Members the Corporate Leadership Team and partners to deliver Birminghams City Vision and Corporate Plan.
