Job Summary

SA Recycling is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern for the summer of 2026. In this position you will be assisting with the design analysis prototyping and testing of mechanical systems using certain softwares and lab tools. You will focus on tasks like 3D modeling created test protocols performing analysis and documenting findings all while collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in mechanical principles.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Modeling: Create/modify 3D CAD models drafting and design mechanical components or fixtures.
Analysis & Testing: Support stress thermal performance analysis run tests (e.g. vibrations functional) fabricate samples and document results.
Prototyping: Use 3D printers milling machines lathes and shop tools to build and test prototypes.
Documentation: Prepare technical reports presentations and engineering documentation (IQ/OQ).
Collaboration: Work with senior engineers technicians and other teams (sales production).

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Education: Currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
Technical: Mechanical design principles material science DFM/DFA.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving Communication (Written/Verbal) Teamwork and self-motivation.
