Join a dynamic team in the aerospace sector as a Digital Hardware Engineer where youll take ownership of the full hardware lifecyclefrom conceptualizing high-level requirements to seeing your designs move through manufacturing and into the field.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- High-Speed Digital Protocols: Demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge of embedded microprocessor design and integration for ARM Cores DDR memory interfaces and high-bandwidth USB and Ethernet.
- Design Simulation & Analysis: Utilize simulation tools such as LTSpice for circuitry HyperLynx for signal integrity and MATLAB for system-level modeling.
- Advanced Architecture & PCB Design: Lead the full design cycle including requirement analysis schematic capture (using Mentor VX/Designer) and complex high-speed layout analysis.
- Verification & Validation (V&V): Execute subsystem and system-level test plans using lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to identify and resolve critical hardware defects.
- Compliance & Reliability Engineering: Design for MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC) and adhere to IPC standards to ensure hardware survivability in high-reliability environments.
- Security Clearance Eligibility: Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical/computer engineering or a related field.
- 6 years of relevant experience (4 years with a masters degree).
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with SDR architectures embedded SW/VHDL and configuration management tools like Agile.
- Nuanced understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and interactions between digital boards and RF circuitry.
- Experience using embedded software scripting (e.g. Python) or VHDL to automate design analysis and facilitate rapid troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Agile PLM software to manage product data and streamline manufacturing introduction.
- Familiarity with Boundary Scan tools (JTAG) for testing high-density PCBAs where physical probe access is limited.
