What Product Management is like at Gusto:

• Were looking for high-autonomy entrepreneurial Product Managers to build high-impact solutions for small businesses and their employees. We believe in high-ownership Product Managers who operate like business owners owning an entire roadmap end to end and shipping product all the way from strategy through to the nitty-gritty details (some describe this kind of role as a GM type role).
• Our Product team is lean which means youll have a high degree of impact and ownership. We believe in smaller empowered teams that move quickly with less overhead. Youll move fast by pairing sharp product judgment with fluency in AI tools automating what slows teams down and amplifying what makes them creative and high-performing.
• Were boundaryless builders. Lines between roles are intentionally blurred and our PMs do whatever it takes to deliver outcomes. Youll prototype automate design and ship using AI as your co-builder to turn problems into durable solutions that deliver customer value with urgency and care.

About the Team:

Gustos Time Tools product helps SMB customers streamline their teams daily operations via time off time tracking and scheduling with the goals of saving time saving money and ensuring compliance with local labor regulations.

Heres what youll do day-to-day:

• Ownership: Develop innovative and industry-leading products across desktop mobile conversational UI and native platforms that serve Gustos SMB customers.
• North Star: Lead your team in defining and executing on a set of product strategies to make progress towards the Time product vision and business goals.
• Collaborate: Work alongside a skilled and diverse team of Product Managers Product Designers Engineers Product Marketers and Data Scientists to set the vision for Gustos Time products.
• Make it happen. Be the pace setter. Drive execution as a boundaryless builder doing whatever it takes to achieve outcomes. You will use AI as your co-builder to turn complex problems into durable customer-loved solutions with urgency and care.
• Foster an environment that enables the team to execute quickly while maintaining a high standard for quality.
• Operate cross-functionally and build strong partnerships with product and business teams across the company in delivering excellent products and services.
• Influence key stakeholders throughout Gusto in order to align intent resources and prioritization.

Heres what were looking for:

• 5 years of product management experience
• A collaborative approach: You have a track record of building consensus and delivering results with cross-functional partners.
• Results: You have a proven track record of shipping simple elegant products at scale.
• Efficiency: You have excellent organization and prioritization skills.
• Analytical skills: You have a great ability to absorb and apply data to your decision making.
• Execution: Youre scrappy solution-oriented and able to help the team push through obstacles and blockers to deliver value for our customers.
• Communication: Youre regarded as an effective communicator both written and verbal.
• Customer empathy: You have experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is $152000 to $190000/yr in Denver & most major metro locations and $184000 to $230000/yr for San Francisco New York & Seattle. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Where do PMs at Gusto work

We have offices in Denver San Francisco and New York and have remote team members across the US and Canada. We are also actively hiring for the following hubs: Toronto Canada Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA. ⁽¹⁾Business Applications with Planned Wages ()

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver San Francisco and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles Gustos subsidiary whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office a secure reliable and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees.
