We are seeking a bilingual Payroll Specialist (Spanish Speaking) based in Colombia to support payroll and timekeeping operations for Spanish-speaking employees in the United States. This role is responsible for accurate payroll processing timely issue resolution and providing clear communication in Spanish ensuring a seamless employee experience and strong compliance alignment. This is a work-from-office role.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary payroll support contact for Spanish-speaking US employees providing guidance and resolution in Spanish.
- Manage and validate Kronos timekeeping data and ensure accurate integration into US payroll processes.
- Process key payroll components in Workday including taxes deductions earnings adjustments and garnishments.
- Translate payroll communications FAQs job aids and employee instructions into Spanish with contextual accuracy.
- Assist in payroll administration activities relevant to potential LATAM expansion efforts.
- Maintain strong documentation and audit-ready payroll records in compliance with US regulations.
- Support payroll cycle activities including pre-payroll validations post-payroll checks and error resolution.
Qualifications :
- 3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR/payroll administration.
- Native or near-native Spanish fluency with strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Workday and Kronos is strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance HR or a related field; Masters preferred.
- Understanding of US payroll practices tax components and compliance requirements is an advantage.
