Job Summary

The Administration for Childrens Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services and provides subsidized childcare vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child juvenile justice ACS oversees detention placement and programs for youth in the community.

The Office of Human Resources holds a broad spectrum of responsibilities that contribute directly to ACS vision of offering comprehensive quality services that empower children and families to thrive. ACS Office of Human Resources primary functions include developing and implementing the agencys human resources policies and procedures recruiting and hiring qualified candidates for open positions providing onboarding and training to new employees managing employee performance and compensation and ensuring compliance with all applicable employment civil service and labor addition to our primary functions the Office of Human Resources provides a variety of other services to employees such as career development employee benefits and wellness programs. The Office of Human Resources also works in partnership with ACS divisions to provide initiatives and services that nurture and develop an environment of employee empowerment advocacy and involvement in the organization while attracting and cultivating a diverse dynamic workforce.

The Workforce Management Operations Unit (WMO) manages HR Operations processes affecting nearly 7000 employees as it relates to new-hire orientations intra-Agency transfers workers compensation performance evaluations trainings (mandatory and voluntary) HR customer service and special projects. The units work ranges from processing daily forms and inquiries to delivering presentations and trainings to conducting data analysis and reporting to coordinating special projects such as developing new trainings systems forms and protocols. Team members operate with a key focus on cross-training through the different WMO areas in order to support seasonal or event-driven needs. Based on Unit needs and team member interests WMO members have the opportunity to cross-train in multiple HR areas and gain varied experienced from technical systems knowledge to data analytics training and development special projects and relationship management.

The WMO Analyst will be responsible for performing work as primary responsible for tasks within two (2) unit areas (see above) and as a back-up to two (2) other unit areas. This includes:

- Process daily volume (e.g. forms cases inquiries) accurately and in a timely manner.

- Update systems logs and databases.

- Generate and distribute reports.

- Contribute to process improvement by identifying issues and engaging in special projects.

- Exercise good customer service and relationship management while engaging (verbal and written) with employees teammates and partners (other programs other HR units leadership)

Qualifications :

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
