Under general supervision the Coordinator of EOP and College Advising Services delivers high-impact academic advisement supports EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) student transition and success contributes to first-year advisement programming and engages in workshops events and outreach that strengthen student persistence and connection to the College of Engineering and Computer Science and EOP communities

  • Provides comprehensive academic advisement for all students assigned to the Andrew J. Anagnost College of Engineering and Computer Sciences (ACECS) Student Services Center (SSC)/EOP.
  • Coordinates activities related to monitoring EOP student transition and academic progress including but not limited to follow-up with students and responses to faculty alerts.
  • Assists the DCA and SSP IV with the coordination planning and implementation of first-year advisement for all incoming first-time freshmen and transfers.
  • Represents the SSC/EOP and ACECS at on and off-campus events recruitment activities and on university committees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques interviewing and conflict resolution where such are job related is preferred.

  • Equivalent of three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience.
  • A Masters degree in Counseling Clinical Psychology Social Work or a directly related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
  • Additional specialized and relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
