Job Duties

This project management position is responsible for executing the Virginia Colorectal Cancer Screening Program (VACCSP) assuring all required work plan activities and reporting elements are completed accurately and within the established timeframes. The position is responsible for (1) overseeing the planning implementation and evaluation of the VACCSP; (2) serving as subject matter expert on the implementation of evidence-based interventions (EBIs) to improve cancer screening rates; (3) providing guidance and technical support to health system partners on EBI implementation; (4) managing and facilitating a peer learning collaborative for health system partners; (5) monitoring all contracts and agreements to ensure all deliverables are met and meet or exceed the projects expectations; and (7) tracking the expenditure of all funds to assure they are spent appropriately and in accordance with state procurement policies.

This is a restricted position which is solely funded by the Colorectal Cancer Screening Grant for a 5-year period ending 08/30/2030. The availability of funding is scheduled for review before the grant expiration date and periodically thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based interventions;
Experience in program planning implementation and evaluation;
Experience providing technical assistance to partners related to program implementation and evaluation;
Experience in educating the public on chronic disease conditions (including cancer);
Experience managing grants and budgets;
Experience making presentations to diverse audiences;
Experience in writing reports program plans and grants;
Experience in collaborating across organizations to leverage resources to implement shared goals;
Demonstrated knowledge in Community Health or Public Health

Additional Considerations

Experience in evidence-based cancer prevention detection and control interventions;
Experience in collaborating with health systems to implement evidence-based interventions and quality improvement projects;
