Job Summary
We are seeking a creative technically skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology ECT to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in St Albans. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified DT Teacher looking to start their teaching career in a well-resourced highly supportive and innovative department.
As a Design Technology Teacher you will deliver practical engaging and design-focused lessons across KS3 and KS4 with scope to teach KS5 as you progress. The DT department benefits from modern workshops CAD/CAM suites 3D printers laser cutters and specialist technicians.

Experience and Qualifications
Degree in DT Product Design Engineering or related subject
PGCE with QTS
Training to teach DT to KS3/4
Strong workshop skills and health & safety awareness
Enthusiasm for design engineering thinking and practical learning

This Design Technology ECT role will be paid to scale in line with MPS1.
