Are you an ambitious Design and Technology teacher ready to take the next step into middle leadership

A large high-performing secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Head of Design and Technology to lead and develop a successful DT department from September.

This is a vibrant and thriving school with around 1000 students on roll alongside a strong and growing sixth form. Staff work collaboratively alongside outstanding colleagues to achieve exceptional outcomes for students across all key stages.

As Head of Design and Technology you will take responsibility for curriculum leadership teaching and learning and the continued success of DT across KS3 to KS5.

Key responsibilities:

Leading and developing the Design and Technology curriculum
Monitoring student progress and securing outstanding outcomes
Supporting and coaching staff within the department
Contributing to whole-school improvement and enrichment

This school has been judged Outstanding by Ofsted in all categories for the second time and holds Teaching School status reflecting its strong commitment to staff development and continuous professional learning.

The school is nationally recognised for student progress ranking 3rd in the country for the progress of disadvantaged pupils 21st overall for Progress 8 with a Progress 8 score of 1.27.
