We are seeking a proactive reliable and highly skilled Food Technology technician to join our friendly Food Technology team. This position is 25 hours per week term-time only plus 10 additional days supporting colleagues and students in Food Technology.

If youhavepractical food skills are very organised enjoy a varied workload and are keen to support the work of a collaborative and supportivedepartment this position offers an excellent opportunityfor you.

The role

In this varied and rewarding role you will prepare materials and equipment forFoodTechnologylessonsmaintainourspecialist rooms and stores and provide support during practicallessons. You will play a key role in ensuring thatsuchlessons are delivered smoothlysafelyand creatively.

Whilstpreviousexperience as aFoodTechnologytechnician would be an advantage it is not essential-what matters most is a positive proactive attitudetogetherwith the relevant skills. We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised equipped with practical food skills and confident in managing ingredients equipment and the preparation ofFoodTechnologyrooms

• Motivatedandenthusiasticabout supporting engaging practicallessons

• An effective communicator able towork well with bothcolleaguesand students

• Proactive adaptable and keen to develop new skills

• Able to workindependently as well as contributingeffectivelyas part of a team

• Taking pride inmaintainingclean safe and efficiently runfacilities with attention to detail

• An abilityto offerdigitalphotographyand editingskillswould be an advantage
