Job Summary
Role: Head of Data - Contract Role
Seniority: Mid and Senior levels
Day rate: Estimated 400-700 Outside IR35
Project duration: 6 months. Starting first week in January
Location: Hybrid in/around London
Were supporting a consultancy that specialises in business and digital transformation known for fostering strong relationships while designing and delivering large-scale complex transformations worldwide.
Theyre seeking a Head of Data with AI experience to in large data projects for a Professional Services client. This is a key senior role which will sit on the technology leadership. This person will be responsible for setting up the data structure and team.

Tasks
- Set up the data structure foundational architecture and supporting team
- Map existing processes and data lineage identifying gaps opportunities and improved ways of working
- Drive enterprise-wide data quality analytics and insight to enable confident data-driven decision-making
Requirements
- An independent consultant with a consulting background
- Proven leadership in building and scaling data functions including data engineering analytics governance and data science teams
- Deep technical expertise across modern data architectures tooling cloud platforms and best-practice data governance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into actionable data-driven initiatives that improve decision-making operational performance and organisational maturity
