Job Summary

Industry: Leading listed pharma company having Formulations(OSD and Injectables) API intermediates and Biologics business (OSD)

1. Job Purpose

To ensure effective production planning material availability and inventory control for Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing in alignment with sales forecasts regulatory requirements and GMP standards. Responsible for optimizing production schedules minimizing shortages and ensuring seamless coordination between production warehouse procurement and QA.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Production Planning

Prepare monthly weekly and daily production plans based on sales forecast capacity and material availability.
Coordinate with Production QC and QA to ensure timely execution of OSD manufacturing activities (granulation compression coating packing).
Monitor plan adherence and take corrective action for deviations.
Conduct capacity planning for machines manpower and equipment in OSD areas.

B. Material Planning & Coordination

Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure timely availability of RM/PM for planned batches.
Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse for material requisition follow-ups and expiry/shelf-life monitoring.
Track vendor delivery schedules and escalate delays to ensure uninterrupted production.

C. Inventory Control

Maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials packaging materials and finished goods.
Monitor inventory health indicators such as slow-moving non-moving short-expiry and rejected materials.
Conduct periodic stock reconciliation with Warehouse.
Implement inventory accuracy systems like FIFO/FEFO.

D. Documentation & SAP / ERP Management

Create and manage production plans BOMs batch cards and material requisitions in SAP/ERP.
Ensure compliance with documentation requirements as per cGMP WHO USFDA MHRA and other regulatory norms.
Generate daily/weekly/monthly PPIC reports and MIS dashboards.

E. Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with *Production QA QC Warehouse Procurement Regulatory and Sales* for smooth workflow.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to track production progress bottlenecks and mitigation plans.

F. Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency and reduce lead times.
Implement lean practices in material flow and process scheduling.
Support new product introduction (NPI) planning and technology transfers in OSD.
