About the Opportunity
Our client a leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in heavy civil construction including highways roads and concrete paving to manage large-scale projects valued at $10 million and above.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of heavy civil projects ensuring completion on time within budget and to quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules budgets and resource plans.
- Coordinate subcontractors manage buyouts billings and change orders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve specification contract and scheduling issues.
- Lead project teams including engineers and superintendents fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
- Prepare and deliver monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in heavy civil project management (roads highways paving utilities).
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools (Primavera P6 Procore).
- Strong understanding of DOT specifications and unit-based work.
- Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience managing projects $10M in roads highways or concrete paving.
- Familiarity with hard bid processes and alternative procurement methods.
- Candidates from reputable heavy civil contractors are highly regarded.
