Data Product Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to join a leading organization in the clinical diagnostics and healthcare space. This role focuses on defining and managing data products that support laboratory operations patient data workflows and enterprise analytics. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data governance data contracts and cross-functional collaboration within a healthcare or life sciences environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Product Ownership
- Define manage and evolve data products aligned to business and clinical objectives
- Own and maintain a data product roadmap in partnership with stakeholders across technology operations and analytics
- Establish and track KPIs to measure data product adoption quality and impact
Data Contracts and Consumption
- Design and enforce data contracts to ensure reliable and consistent data exchange between producers and consumers
- Work closely with data engineering teams to implement schema validation SLAs and data delivery guarantees
- Partner with analytics and business intelligence teams to optimize data consumption patterns
Data Governance and Stewardship
- Champion data governance best practices including metadata management lineage tracking and data classification
- Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure adherence to healthcare data regulations (e.g. HIPAA)
- Drive data quality initiatives across the enterprise data ecosystem
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders data engineering analytics and IT teams
- Translate business requirements into clear data product specifications
- Facilitate data literacy and adoption across the organization
Operational Excellence
- Implement and refine data product lifecycle management processes
- Monitor and report on data product performance and reliability
- Continuously improve data delivery mechanisms and self-service capabilities
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in data product management data governance or a related data management role
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory data healthcare data systems or life sciences data environments
- Hands-on experience with data mesh data fabric or similar modern data architecture paradigms
- Familiarity with data cataloging tools metadata management platforms and data quality frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Healthcare Informatics or a related field
Required Knowledge
