Job Summary
Senior Staff Accountant
We are hiring a Senior Staff Accountant in San Antonio to support high-level functions in the Accounting/Finance Department. This role handles complex general ledger work financial reporting budgeting and provides guidance to accounting staff. Ideal for seasoned professionals with a strong GAAP background. This is a full-time onsite role with a MondayFriday schedule of 8:30 a.m.5:30 p.m. and flexibility such as 85 or 96 may be approved by management. Pay ranges from $23.24 to $34.87 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee payroll-related reconciliations accruals and vendor payments.
Support monthly and quarterly financial closings and regulatory filings.
Review financial reports investigate discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
Provide training and technical support to other team members.
Assist with audits budgeting and special financial projects.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
35 years of progressive accounting experience; financial institution experience preferred.
Advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
Strong communication organizational and analytical skills.
Must be bondable and able to work cross-functionally.
