Buncombe County Clinical Services team in our Health and Human Services Department is hiring for an Bilingual Administrative Support Associate IV. This position will be responsible for duties such as fielding calls for STI Immunizations and Family Planning phone lines; updating client immunizations records in state systems; and overseeing the patient check-in process for our immunization clinic.
This position is fully in-office working out of 40 Coxe Avenue Asheville NC 28801 with free onsite parking included. This position will report to our Clinical Services Program Supervisor and work on a team with 10 individuals. The position will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week with no scheduled overtime. There is an option for scheduling flexibility during the normal workweek.
Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred. Bilingual employees in this role who have passed the language assessment can receive Buncombe Countys Bilingual Compensation Allowance. This Allowance is either $50 conversational or $75 Reading and Writing or both added to the employees biweekly paycheckdepending on the selected candidatesconversational and/or translation proficiency.
Purpose of the position:
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support in a variety of functions requiring specialized skills for a particular program or department within the organization.
Minimum Education Training and/or Experience (required at time of hire): High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive office experience including customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Training and Experience: Demonstrated proficiency using computer and programs including Microsoft Office suite at the advanced level including Word Excel Access and PowerPoint.
