PowerNet is seeking a highly skilled Procurement & Contracts Manager to lead our procurement strategy and deliver maximum value from supplier relationships. Based in our head office in Invercargill this senior role is central to supporting the delivery of PowerNets asset management plan and driving best practice across procurement contracts and suppliers.

The Role
As Procurement & Contracts Manager you will:
- Develop and own PowerNets procurement strategy policies and category plans.
- Lead and support end-to-end procurement processes from business need identification through to supplier selection negotiation and contract award.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to managers across the organisation.
- Drive procurement process improvements ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.
- Oversee supplier performance contracts and strategic relationships to optimise value and mitigate risk.
- Manage the relationship with Corys PowerNets primary supplier including cost benchmarking and performance reviews.
- Drive cost optimisation and standardisation across inventory and fleet by consolidating suppliers panel selection and ensuring marketcompetitive pricing.
- Report regularly to the CFO and Senior Leadership Team on procurement KPIs market trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Leverage Agiloft contract management software recently implemented at PowerNet to ensure contracts are managed consistently stored centrally and monitored effectively.
About You

- Proven experience in procurement and contract management at a senior level.
- Strong commercial acumen negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Knowledge of supply market trends category management and process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted partnerships across the business.
- A collaborative approach with the confidence to lead change and deliver results.
- Background in project management or engineering will be highly regarded and experience in a related industry is an advantage.
