This role is a strategic leadership position responsible for the development maintenance and execution of an Enterprise Data Management and Analytics program. The teams under this role focus on data governance data architecture integration data warehousing and analytics to enable business-led transformation and improve insight capabilities across the organization.
A key aspect of this role is close collaboration with cross-functional business partners to foster an environment of creativity and innovation. The Director will leverage experience thought leadership and technology to deliver best-practice data solutions and empower a culture that advances strategic objectives through data.
Establish and execute the enterprise vision data strategy and roadmap for information delivery and management including enterprise data warehousing big data platforms business intelligence analytics content management and data management.
Develop lead and mentor data architects and data engineers to architect and deliver scalable solutions that support business stakeholders through ad hoc analysis advanced reporting and self-service analytics tools.
Align business strategy with technology strategy balancing near-term and long-term needs to ensure data architecture can scale and evolve.
Provide vision leadership and strategic direction for enterprise data initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals through disciplined execution adherence to development processes and strong performance management.
Create and analyze reports and metrics to measure effectiveness of the data management program and identify improvement opportunities.
Deliver actionable insights through dashboards reporting and collaboration with internal stakeholders to uncover trends and inform data-driven decision-making.
Ensure quality integrity creativity and timeliness across all data services and deliverables.
Continuously assess data operations for process improvement opportunities and lead implementation of enhancements including data governance practices.
Champion innovation by staying ahead of technology trends (e.g. AI cloud-native analytics) and fostering continuous learning to future-proof engineering capabilities.
Translate evolving organizational needs into actionable data and analytics strategies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Build and maintain a high-performing team that serves as a center of excellence for enterprise data and analytics maximizing the organizations information assets.
Demonstrate experience in budget management operational oversight and executive-level reporting.
Foster trusted partnerships and a culture of service accountability and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
Attract mentor and develop top talent while promoting professional growth and ownership.
Lead enterprise Data Governance and Data Architecture strategies aligned to organizational objectives.
Stay current on industry innovations emerging technologies and data best practices particularly within regulated financial environments.
Demonstrate success in setting strategic department goals and driving execution.
Lead organizational change and transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with executive leaders and vendors to develop flexible resourcing models.
Provide oversight and reporting to senior leadership on staffing projects operational performance vendor management and technology budgets.
Ensure protection availability confidentiality integrity retention and destruction of business records in compliance with relevant policies.
Effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Consistently act in alignment with organizational values.
Support regulatory reporting efforts as needed and partner across departments to implement compliant data policies and procedures.
Experience:
Senior-level expertise with a minimum of 10 years of related professional experience.
At least 6 years in a senior leadership role within data management and analytics.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Analytics Statistics or a related field.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong ability to influence and motivate others through collaboration diplomacy and trust.
Proven success working cross-functionally and securing stakeholder alignment.
Technical & Professional Skills:
Extensive experience across the full information management and SDLC lifecycle.
Strong background in statistical analysis research and problem solving.
Demonstrated expertise in enterprise data warehousing BI & analytics content management and data governance.
Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise data strategies policies and procedures.
Experience creating data discovery collaboration and data quality tools.
Advanced experience with data and visualization tools such as SQL Microsoft Power Platform Python R or similar.
Strong business acumen and commitment to continuous learning.
Agile development experience preferred (2 years).
Self-starter with high intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel independently and use standard office equipment.
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional bending reaching lifting and handling of light office equipment.
Clean well-lit climate-controlled office environment. Remote work may be required during business resiliency implementations.
Limited to normal office supplies and cleaning materials.
