Job Title: Engineer - Hydro

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience ranging from $85900 to $107375.
Job Summary
Plans designs and implements modification maintenance or operations projects to ensure the safe efficient operation of the hydro system. Manages construction projects. May direct work of analysts and generation operations and maintenance personnel on projects and programs.
Responsibilities:
Performs or assists Lead Engineers in engineering and economic analysis to recommend hydro improvements and develop project proposals. Coordinates with engineering consultants and contractors. (25%P)
Manages capital projects or programs of moderate size and complexity: Leads project teams; develops authorizations specifications contracts purchase orders schedules and budgets; manages construction and commissioning. (25%P)
Develops implements and coordinates maintenance operations and regulatory compliance programs and procedures as assigned. May direct and train others. (25%P)
Assists Lead Engineers as directed on more complex or larger projects and programs. Inspects monitors and supervises construction operations or maintenance activity in larger projects. (15%P)
Provides technical and engineering guidance to others as needed to complete analysis drawings and projects. (10%S)
Required Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelors of Engineering and 2 years in discipline or plant engineering (or equivalent education and experience).
Skills/Abilities:
Project Management problem solving results and proactive orientation.
Certifications:
NYS Professional Engineer-in- training Certificate is desirable.
