Job Summary
The Level 2 Building Automation Engineer supports the operation programming and maintenance of the Siemens Building Automation System (BAS) and standalone PLCs. This role focuses on system troubleshooting preventative maintenance and project support to ensure reliable performance of automated building systems.
Key Responsibilities
Support management of the Siemens BAS including programming upgrades and system changes
Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software control system issues
Assist with programming of standalone PLCs for HVAC mechanical waste and cold storage systems
Perform preventative maintenance on controls-related equipment
Support controls projects through installation integration and commissioning
Assist with third-party system integrations using Siemens P2 BACnet and other protocols
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams including Engineering Facilities and IT
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
34 years of experience with HVAC building automation systems
Working knowledge of Siemens BAS or similar platforms
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to support multiple projects and vendors
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field
Siemens BAS training or certifications
Experience with other BAS platforms (Johnson Controls Tridium Honeywell etc.)
Exposure to BACnet N2 Modbus or similar protocols
Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven environments
