We are looking for a Junior Social Media Manager to support the creation scheduling and optimization of content across various social media platforms. Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Social Media Manager you will support the team in managing clients social media presence and contributing to strategies that drive engagement and growth. Your regular duties will include:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of social media strategies aligned with clients goals.
- Creating curating and scheduling engaging content across platforms such as Facebook Instagram Twitter LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Supporting the coordination of clients brand voice and staying informed about industry trends.
- Planning and scheduling posts using tools like Hootsuite Buffer or Sprout Social.
- Monitoring comments messages and community interactions ensuring timely responses.
- Staying up to date with trending topics social media updates and best practices.
- Analyse social media performance metrics and preparing basic reports.
- Supporting influencer outreach and collaboration opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with algorithm changes trends and platform updates.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Some experience in social media management (internships freelance work or personal projects are acceptable).
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite Buffer Sprout Social).
- Basic understanding of major social media platforms and their audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for generating fresh and engaging content ideas.
- Willingness to learn and strong analytical abilities to interpret basic performance metrics.
- Ability to work well within a team and support client communication when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of design or editing tools (e.g. Canva Adobe Creative Suite).
- Understanding of social media advertising platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO or content marketing principles.
- Experience managing social media accounts for different clients or industries.
