Job Summary
This is a remote position.
The Jr. Accounting Assistant ensures that the financial ledgers are up to date on a daily weekly and monthly basis. This may include but is not limited to processing of sales and purchase invoices bank transactions reclassification journals for revenue recurring accrual and payroll entries.
Aside from that the Jr. Accounting Assistant provides assistance to the Accounting SME with maintaining a clean and updated general ledger including account reconciliations and resolving of discrepancies.
The Jr. Accounting Assistant also assists the Accounting SME and other team members where needed to accomplish the department goals and to prepare ad-hoc reports to the management as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field of study
- CPA certification is a strong plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Able to analyze financial records
- Self-motivated and independent
- Good time management skills; able to prioritize
- Self-driven and proactive nature.
- Highly driven and willingness to learn new tools and software.
- A positive Can Do attitude.
- Patient and active listener.
