We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Demand Planning and Supply Chain Coordinator to support our DACH (Germany Austria Switzerland) this role you will ensure accurate demand forecasts seamless product lifecycle execution excellent customer service collaboration and optimized inventory levels to drive service performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Generate Baseline Forecasts: Utilize historical sales data market trends and statistical models to create an accurate baseline forecast for a specific category or region
Participate in the weekly and monthly discipline meetings: lead Demand Review meetings with Sales and Marketing to enrich the forecast with market intelligence (promotions competitor activity seasonality)
Accuracy Improvement: Monitor Forecast Accuracy (DPA) and Bias KPIs; conduct root-cause analysis on significant variances to continuously improve forecast quality
Data Hygiene: Maintain master data integrity regarding product hierarchies and customer groupings to ensure robust reporting
New Product Introductions (NPI): act as the supply chain lead for all new launches. collaborate with Marketing to size launch volumes and build ramp-up forecasts based on distribution targets
Transitions & Relaunches: Manage the phase-in/phase-out process for product updates to minimize business disruption and ensure a smooth shelf transition
Discontinuations (Delists): Proactively identify tail products and coordinate discontinuations to minimize the risk of Obsolescence (SLOBs - Slow Moving & Obsolete stock)
SKU Rationalization: Regularly review the portfolio complexity and recommend optimizations to the commercial leadership
Coordinate claims: Handle complaints in an effective and timely manner; arrange logistics when needed
Order processing: Coordinate with internal and external departments to secure order progression from entry to delivery promptly addressing any discrepancies or issues
Inventory Alignment: Partner with Central Supply Planners to translate the demand plan into replenishment orders for the local warehouse.
Stock Level Monitoring: Monitor Weeks of Coverage (WOC) and Safety Stock levels to ensure availability for key customers while adhering to inventory value targets.
SLOB management: Ensure stock reporting from local warehouse
Planning parameters review: assure accuracy of critical parameters e.g: MOQ RV TDOS
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience Requirements:
Bachelor degree in logistics or other relevant field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning inventory control and logistics
Must be fluent in English (both spoken and written) knowledge of German is preferred
Expected Areas of Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
General knowledge/understanding of end to end business processes. Relevant knowledge of logistics processes from picking through delivery and billing. Relevant knowledge of order entry and its impact promotional executions trade fairs and related administrative work
Required Skills & Knowledge: Analytical skills and initiative self-motivation excellent judgment and communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Knowledge: Cross functional Supply Chain Experience. Familiarity with SAP R/3 or S/4 is a must SAP APO or Kinaxis is preferred
Confidence to challenge the status quo and promote new and better processes and ways of working through influencing people at all levels of the organization.
Computer literacy in Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Excel Word & PowerPoint)
