WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for high-volume casual and seasonal roles including advertising screening interviewing and onboarding.
  • Manage the recruitment inbox and recruitment software (Employment Hero and Scout).
  • Ensure personnel files and P&C documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Facilitate P&C inductions and conduct exit interviews.
  • Interpret and apply modern awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Work closely with payroll on staff changes and process invoices.
  • Assist with performance review coordination and P&C projects.
  • Support WHS compliance and injury management processes (not lead but assist).


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources WHS Psychology or a related field.
  • 3 years experience in a similar role with a strong HR generalist background.
  • Return to Work Coordinator certification and injury management experience.
  • Previous experience developing WHS procedures conducting risk assessments and supporting WHS management systems.
  • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments enterprise agreements and awards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under varying workloads.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Positive energy and a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships across all levels.
  • Discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential matters.
  • Experience in a university or student-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education Industry General Staff Award

HOURS OF WORK

Full Time 35 hours per week.
