Job Summary

Job Title: Locum - Gastroenterologist

Job Responsibilities:

Provide locum coverage for Gastroenterology services during weekends.
Conduct outpatient procedures including but not limited to:

Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
Lower GI Endoscopy
Colonoscopy
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube

Perform an average of 8 procedures per weekend.
Utilize Epic EMR for patient management.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required)
Active Virginia medical license (Required)
Clean malpractice history for temporary privileges (Required)
Available for on-call shifts (Required)
Experience with ERCP (Required) and EUS (Preferred)
Recent flu shot (Required) and COVID vaccine (Highly Preferred)
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of application (Required)

License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certification in Gastroenterology is mandatory.
Valid Virginia state license is required.
