Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology in Midlothian VA

This locum opportunity is perfect for an experienced Gastroenterologist looking to cover weekend shifts in a supportive environment. The practice offers comprehensive gastrointestinal services with the advantage of a hospital setting where lab and X-ray facilities are available on-site.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide locum coverage in Gastroenterology on weekends.
Manage inpatient and outpatient areas including hospital calls.
Perform essential procedures such as:
- Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
- Colonoscopy and Sigmoidoscopy
- Upper GI Endoscopy with various advanced techniques
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
- Liver Biopsy and Small Bowel Biopsy
Utilize EMR (Epic) for documentation.
Respond to weekend on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology - Required
Valid Virginia state license - Required
Flu shot compliance - Required
COVID Vaccination - Highly Preferred
Clean malpractice history for temporary privileges - Required
ERCP skills - Required
EUS skills - Preferred
Ability to cover open shifts - Required

License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certification in Gastroenterology
Current Virginia state medical license
Flu vaccination at time of credentialing
Clean malpractice history for credentialing purposes
