Summary
As the Global Thought Leader: Analytics & Analysis this role will be responsible for developing and implementing the analytics strategy that drives NIQ to create provocative insightful and actionable thought leadership content and analysis for the industry and new and existing client audiences. This role will balance developing analytics models analysis to frame and deliver thought provoking insights while also serving as a key thought leader sharing insights and content with c-suite clients and other key industry stakeholders PR News media channels. It will be important to demonstrate the value of the depth and breadth of NIQ data through compelling thought leadership that is differentiated and disruptive. This is a hands-on role that will require the ability to employ creative ways to leverage our data in order to create the most valuable insights for the commercial organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and drive our global thought leadership analytics methodology for NIQ with the ability to understand patterns and extrapolate predictive insights to appropriately deliver analysis and compelling story lines that are relevant for C-suite audiences
- Deliver thought leadership to ensure successful client outcomes including but not limited to engagement in the following:
- New business pursuits (penetration C-suite engagement)
- Strategic account plans for key clients
- Delivery of consistent client outcomes
- Serve as SME for the NIQ Global Thought Leadership Team as a data strategist/ architect on all matters relating to Global Consumer Surveys Anchor Content Flagship Reports
- Be the Voice of NIQ Global Thought Leaderships Chief Analyst at events industry conferences (focus on c-suite audiences) and showcase NIQs data insights/ foresight on economics FMCG
- Responsible for keeping up to date on consumer trends and leading the conversation around what happened what our clients should expect to happen (understand future implications of these trends) and what they can do to realize growth in todays environment.
- Identifies and develops best in class industry-leading consumer trends insights and understanding of whats happening in the CPG retail and manufacturer landscape and why
- Able to develop research hypothesis around consumer trends events and shopping behavior
- Stay abreast of industry and regulatory trends globally that may impact new and existing strategy development
- Create compelling thought leadership pieces and able to present content with clients and where needed at key industry events (focus on c-suite audiences)
- Lead a small team of Analysts providing hands-on direction and guidance on where and how to find insights from our data leveraging data science concepts to ensure that we are getting the most from our data
- Engage and collaborate FMCG/Retail Industry & Financial Services Analysts PR Firms Newsmedia to infuse NIQ Global Thought Leadership Analysis/ PoV / Insights-Foresights
- Synthesize findings across multiple research and data sources to deliver insights to the business
- Determine when and how to use quantitative research tools and models and assist in interpretation and development of implications to address strategic client business issues
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in a qualitative or related field Masters degree a plus
- Expetise in CPG Retail industry that can provide perspective
- 12-15 years of relevant experience: data science & model building developng story lines for thought leadership with the use of data identification of consumer trends and insights data analysis and strategy utilizing multiple data sources.
- Has led a team of analysts to deliver actionable insights that are compelling for clients and industry
- Must have experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
- Must have a strong analytical apitude and experience analyzing multiple data sets; experience in data science preferred
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills; experience presenting at events/conferences to senior level audiences
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to understand and synergize vast amounts of information and pull out the most relevant and impactful points that create a strong narrative
- Ideal candidate will have a global mindset with an understanding of how to work with international organizations and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Creative innovative with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team driving strong performance
