Job Description:

Candidate will work with suppliers to ensure access to and alignment on technical data requirements and specifications with members from engineering quality and other functional experts to enable the supplier to become qualified in manufacturing products for Aerojet Rocketdyne defense programs. Candidate will be exposed to and need to understand basic technical and manufacturing requirements such as reading drawings understanding specifications and collaborating engineers and technology experts to create action plans and projects to successfully on-board the supplier.

Essential Functions:

Collaborate with suppliers on new product development and technological innovations.
Ensure timeliness of technical/manufacturing Q&A between supplier and COEs to include drawing specification statement of work and other requirements package documentation.
Track and status inputs to supplier validation/qualification statement of works for new processes.
Encourage suppliers to propose innovative solutions that can enhance products or processes.
Align with engineering and strategy department personnel to promote and align internal research & development (IR&D) projects. Follow-up on internal actions and record status to project managers.
Generate weekly status reports to management and engineering
Travel 50% to supplier location(s) (could be some international travel as needed)

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior supply chain experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior supply chain lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior supply chain experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Security Clearance would be preferred but not necessary.
Master degree or focus in supply chain preferred.
Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Office products as well as MRP/ERP system knowledge
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task project actions
Communication skills to lead meetings and develop presentation packages and business case analysis for review with business leaders

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $71500 - $132500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state Cleveland Ohio and Vermont is $62000 - $115000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
