STV is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineering Specialist to join our Transportation Group .
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of transportation infrastructure projects that shape how people move through our communities. Youll work alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of roadway rail utility and site development projects for public and private clients.
Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineering Specialist you will:
Support senior engineers and project managers on interdisciplinary design projects including preparing design drawings specifications cost estimates and reports.
Assist in the design of roadway and rail alignments cross sections grading drainage systems (hydraulics and hydrology) utilities and traffic control plans.
Participate in design/bid/build and permitting processes coordinating with subconsultants monitoring schedules and budgets and ensuring quality standards are met.
Use design software such as Bentley MicroStation InRoads AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoTurn to produce high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate with internal technical disciplines and occasionally interface with clients contractors and agency representatives.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 03 years of professional experience in transportation roadway or site design.
Certifications: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation Microsoft Office Suite and GIS.
Understanding of roadway/highway/rail design principles.
Knowledge of vertical and horizontal alignments grading drainage stormwater design and utility layout.
Familiarity with hydrology/hydraulic modeling and pavement design is a plus.
Compensation Range:
$71024.64 - $94699.51
