Our client is a rapidly scaling technology-forward logistics and haulage group operating across Southern Africa. With a strong footprint in Namibia Botswana Zambia and South Africa they are currently accelerating their digital transformation. They have moved beyond legacy systems to a modern Microsoft cloud environment (Dynamics 365 Business Central Azure M365) and are looking for a strategic partner to the Head of IT to help drive this vision forward.

Performance Objectives for Year One:

Co-Pilot the ERP Roadmap Execution: Partner with the Head of IT and external vendors to scope test and deploy critical new modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (specifically Inventory Procurement and Warehousing) ensuring high user adoption and process fit without needing to write code yourself.
Revolutionize Operational Reporting: Lead the design and build of a new suite of Power BI dashboards that provide real-time visibility into route profitability fleet utilization and fuel management transitioning the business from static reports to actionable data insights.
Optimize Cross-Border IT Operations: Take ownership of the day-to-day IT infrastructure (Networks Azure AD Security End-user computing) across multiple regional sites ensuring 99.9% availability and streamlined support for remote logistics depots.
Bridge the Business-IT Gap: Facilitate workshops with Finance Operations and Commercial teams to map current workflows against target system processes translating complex business requirements into clear functional specifications for implementation partners.
Mentor and Elevate the Team: Act as a senior technical escalation point for the internal support team mentoring junior staff to handle routine incidents while you focus on strategic system improvements.
