Our branch supports MSP and MSC ensuring accurate physician compensation and managing payment schedules like Longitudinal Family Practice and Fee-for-Service. The team of senior leaders managers analysts and support staff provides expertise in policy data and operations. We adapt to complex workflows address emerging issues and align with the Physician Master Agreement while collaborating with government health authorities and physicians to improve systems enhance transparency and ensure fair sustainable remuneration. Together we play a critical role in strengthening BCs health care system.
The Role
As a Senior Medical Consultant you will apply your clinical expertise to support the Medical Services Plan. Your work will focus on reviewing complex medical cases and providing guidance that ensures decisions are consistent with clinical standards and provincial policy. You will collaborate closely with the co-Senior Medical Advisor (job-shared) and the panel of Medical Advisors contributing to a team that brings clinical insight to operational and policy processes. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by strengthening trust in the system for both practitioners and patients while working within a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and diverse perspectives.

About this Position:
This position is part time .5 FTE 17.5 hours biweekly.
This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
