UCFs College of Graduate Studies has nearly 10000 students and 250 postdoctoral scholars. They expand their knowledge and skills under the guidance of our world-renowned faculty utilizing our state-of-the-art facilities. Working with over 1500 graduate faculty members representing nearly 250 graduate degree and certificate programs across 11 academic colleges the Graduate College provides institutional oversight to improve the graduate education/postdoctoral training experience at UCF.
The Opportunity:
College of Graduate Studies seeks a Graduate Funding Coordinator to join their team. This position reports to the Associate Director Graduate Funding in the College of Graduate Studies. This position is responsible for administering the functions policies and practices of the College of Graduate Studies as required for awarding graduate funding to qualified graduate students.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates students and reviews records to ensure students qualify for graduate fellowships assistantships teaching assignments tuition remission and health insurance.
Counsels prospective and current graduate students about funding options financial support policies and procedures.
Assists students faculty and staff in resolving graduate financial support issues.
Advises colleges and departments on offering and delivering financial support packages (i.e. fellowships assistantships tuition remission health insurance) for graduate students.
Communicates with departments and colleges and provides training regarding university and graduate policies and procedures for financial support teaching requirements and registration.
Evaluates funding packages for compliance with university policies and advises departments of issues and options for resolution.
Collaborates with university offices such as Student Account Services Student Financial Assistance Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning the English Language Institute Human Resources and UCF Global regarding student funding.
Interprets university state and federal policies related to financial support and student hiring requirements.
Represents the College of Graduate Studies at university and statewide events. Delivers presentations workshops and virtual information sessions to current and prospective students to support this effort.
Compiles fellowship nomination and application packages for committee review.
Researches compiles and analyzes graduate financial data and produces reports for use in financial management decisions.
Performs other duties and special projects assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors and 2 years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 0 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education.
Customer service experience with the ability to work with staff and customers at all levels.
Presentation and public speaking skills or experience.
Proficient in using computers and related technology.
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and complete repetitive tasks.
