POSITION: Asbestos Project Manager (3 years contract)

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans timelines and cost estimates for asbestos-relatedworks
- Conduct site assessments interpret asbestos survey reports and determine projectrequirements
- Coordinate resources including contractors engineers and environmental specialists
- Ensure full compliance with asbestos regulations environmental laws and engineeringstandards
- Implement risk assessments method statements (RAMS) and safe work procedures
- Monitor on-site safety performance and enforce strict adherence to HSE guidelines
- Maintain accurate records in line with legal and audit requirements
- Oversee asbestos removal remediation and encapsulation activities
- Liaise closely with licensed asbestos contractors and engineering teams
- Track project progress quality and safety performance against KPIs
- Manage project variations challenges and technical issues promptly
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients consultants and regulatory authorities
- Prepare and deliver project progress reports technical documentation and compliancecertificates
- Manage procurement contractor relationships and service-level agreements
- Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Approve invoicing verify contractor claims and ensure financial accuracy
- Ensure proper documentation close-out reports and project handover deliverables
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Construction Management or related field
- Asbestos-specific training/certification e.g.:Asbestos Project Manager Certification/BOHS P-Series (P402 P405) or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing asbestos or hazardous material projects
