Job Description Summary: The Specialist Regulatory and Quality plays a crucial role in ensuring the companys products and operations comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards. This individual will support the development implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and regulatory strategies.
Reporting to the Director Quality and Regulatory Compliance the Specialist Regulatory and Quality will support the regions in a number of mandates and responsibilities and will also be responsible for updating IMS and Intelex documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret new and updated regulatory requirements relevant to AIR LIQUIDE CANADA INC.s products and operations (e.g. Health Canada Transport Canada TDG ISO standards)
Management support and training for sales coordinators in each region for the compliance of customer questionnaires and for their validation of compliance as a service provider;
Management of customer non-conformities reported in Intelex
Assist in the preparation submission and maintenance of regulatory dossiers licenses and permits for new and existing products
Support the development implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable standards
Support operations as a power user for updating employee profiles and reassigning Intelex tasks
Conduct internal audits and support external audits (e.g. regulatory inspections customer audits) to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
Investigate and document quality incidents non-conformances and customer complaints proposing and tracking corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Operations Commercial) to ensure regulatory and quality considerations are integrated throughout the product lifecycle
Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory and quality requirements and procedures
Support for risk management documentation processes such as Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Preliminary Risk Assessments (PRA).
Maintain accurate and organized regulatory and quality documentation and records
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Regulatory and Quality department
Are you a MATCH
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Chemistry Biology Pharmacy Engineering) certification in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Quality or related field
1-3 years of experience in a regulatory affairs HSEQ environment or quality assurance role within a regulated industry (e.g. medical devices pharmaceuticals industrial gases)
Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and their practical application
Familiarity with Canadian regulatory frameworks relevant to industrial gases medical devices or pharmaceuticals (e.g. Health Canada regulations).
Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent computer skills and mastery of Google Apps
Fluency in French is considered a strong asset
