Seven Seas Water Group () is a portfolio company owned by investment funds managed by EQT. Headquartered in Tampa with operations across the U.S. Caribbean and Latin America Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) delivers annually over 20 billion gallons of water to industrial commercial governmental municipal and hospitality customers. SSWG operates two businesses within the water infrastructure space. Seven Seas Water which provides water treatment and desalination for governmental hospitality and industrial customers in United States Latin America and the Caribbean and the AUC Group () which provides decentralized water and wastewater treatment plants for industrial and municipal customers in the United States.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

The Project Senior Accountant will be responsible for the financial aspects of ongoing construction and maintenance projects for the Seven Seas Water Division. The position will be in our Tampa FL office and reports directly through the CFO organization with a dotted line to the Engineering organization. The responsibilities include:

Monitor and track capital project budgets commitments actual costs and forecasts.

Prepare and analyze monthly project financial reports including variance analyses and performance metrics.

Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure appropriate cost coding and alignment with budgets.

Reconcile project expenditures against contracts purchase orders and change orders.

Ensure timely and accurate capitalization of assets or reporting metrics in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.

Support internal and external audits related to capital projects and fixed assets.

Assist in the preparation of cash flow projections and funding requirements for ongoing projects.

Utilize ERP system to maintain accurate records of project-related financial documentation including invoices approvals and supporting documentation.

Provide regular updates to management on project accounting for ongoing projects and any relevant information for newly entered contracts.

Identify and escalate project cost overruns or risks and significant savings or opportunities.

Assist with maintaining the internal control framework around projects.

Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements and financial controls related to project accounting.


Requirements:

High attention to detail and accuracy

Proactive mindset and problem-solving orientation

Integrity and commitment to maintaining financial compliance and controls

Strong knowledge of US GAAP notably ASC 606 and 842.

Ability to work well with team members and other departments at all levels within the organization.

Strong Excel skills.

Strong knowledge of ERP systems; IFS experience a plus.

Well organized with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Spanish speaker a plus.

Minimal travel as needed.


Education/Experience:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.

Professional certification (CPA CA CMA or equivalent) preferred.

35 years of experience in accounting or finance with at least 2 years in project accounting or in a capital-intensive industry.

Strong understanding of capital expenditure accounting cost control and asset capitalization.

Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge of project management principles and cost control methodologies.

Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
