Position Description: Cybersecurity & Disaster Recovery Specialist

LayerZero Power Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity & Disaster Recovery Specialist to plan and execute the companys cybersecurity defense and business continuity plans. This hands-on technical role focuses on daily security operations vulnerability remediation incident response and disaster recovery readiness. You will work closely with the Manager of IT Infrastructure and our IT Infrastructure team to ensure security controls are in place incidents are contained quickly and recovery capabilities are tested and reliable.

Requirements

Primary Duties:

• Monitor & Respond: Act as the first responder for enterprise security alerts in coordination with the SOC.
• Administer Security Tools: Manage firewalls endpoint protection PAM DLP and related platforms.
• Vulnerability Management: Track prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities across systems and applications.
• Backup & Recovery: Maintain and test disaster recovery solutions ensuring recovery point and recovery time objectives are met.
• Incident Support: Assist with investigations root cause analysis and corrective actions following security or DR events.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date security policies incident response playbooks and recovery runbooks.
• System Hardening: Support patch management configuration management and system hardening initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

• 3 years of experience in IT security operations systems administration or disaster recovery.
• Proficiency with backup/recovery solutions endpoint protection and firewall administration.
• Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF CIS Controls or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience in manufacturing or mission-critical infrastructure environments. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of MDR/EDR platforms and forensic investigation techniques. (Preferred)
• Familiarity with business continuity and DR best practices. (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity IT or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
