Summary:

Responsible for administering and coordinating employee leave of absence and accommodation requests and serves as a liaison and day-to-day contact for third- party leave administrations employees managers Employee Health Services and HR Business Partner during the lifecycle of an employeeï½s leave and/or accommodation. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws and internal policies while supporting employees and leaders through the leave and accommodation process.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the subject matter expert on leave and accommodation policies including FMLA ADA USERRA and state-specific regulations.
  2. Administer and manage leave and workplace accommodation requests.
  3. Serves as the main point of contact for employees regarding LOAï½s for Nuvance Health and all affiliates communicating LOA policy rights and benefit coordination with employees.
  4. Provides information to managers and employees on LOA procedures and policies. Informs managers and employees of leave payroll processing matters.
  5. Manages lifecycle of individual disability related medical and pregnancy accommodations.
  6. Collaborate with Workersï½ Compensation and Employee Health Services teams to coordinate accommodations and return-to-work plans.
  7. Act as liaison between employees leadership medical providers and third-party administrators.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and employee privacy standards.
  9. Conduct interactive processes for ADA and religious accommodations.
  10. Advise managers and employees on eligibility documentation and return-to-work procedures.
  11. Analyze leave data and trends; prepare reports and conduct audits.
  12. Provide training and guidance to HR and leadership on leave and accommodation practices.
  13. Ensure consistent application of policies across departments.
  14. Management of shared LOA/ADA inboxes and phone line.
  15. Assists with accurate reporting and compliance for all applicable laws and regulations regarding federal and state leaves.
  16. Keeps abreast of legislative changes. Proactively raises potential concerns to Total Rewards leaders and recommend changes to processes where applicable.
  17. Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Values.
  18. Demonstrates regular reliable and predictable attendance.
  19. Performs other duties as required

Education Skills Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in human resources or similar confidential setting.
  • FMLA and ADA/ADAAA experience required
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion and work in a team setting.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Strong customer service skillset.
  • Knowledge of data management systems.
  • PREFER: Experience with Infor Lawson and/or other HR Information Systems
  • PREFER: FMLA Compliance and/or ADA/ADAAA Certification
