Summary:
Responsible for administering and coordinating employee leave of absence and accommodation requests and serves as a liaison and day-to-day contact for third- party leave administrations employees managers Employee Health Services and HR Business Partner during the lifecycle of an employeeï½s leave and/or accommodation. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws and internal policies while supporting employees and leaders through the leave and accommodation process.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on leave and accommodation policies including FMLA ADA USERRA and state-specific regulations.
- Administer and manage leave and workplace accommodation requests.
- Serves as the main point of contact for employees regarding LOAï½s for Nuvance Health and all affiliates communicating LOA policy rights and benefit coordination with employees.
- Provides information to managers and employees on LOA procedures and policies. Informs managers and employees of leave payroll processing matters.
- Manages lifecycle of individual disability related medical and pregnancy accommodations.
- Collaborate with Workersï½ Compensation and Employee Health Services teams to coordinate accommodations and return-to-work plans.
- Act as liaison between employees leadership medical providers and third-party administrators.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and employee privacy standards.
- Conduct interactive processes for ADA and religious accommodations.
- Advise managers and employees on eligibility documentation and return-to-work procedures.
- Analyze leave data and trends; prepare reports and conduct audits.
- Provide training and guidance to HR and leadership on leave and accommodation practices.
- Ensure consistent application of policies across departments.
- Management of shared LOA/ADA inboxes and phone line.
- Assists with accurate reporting and compliance for all applicable laws and regulations regarding federal and state leaves.
- Keeps abreast of legislative changes. Proactively raises potential concerns to Total Rewards leaders and recommend changes to processes where applicable.

- Demonstrates regular reliable and predictable attendance.

Education Skills Experience
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in human resources or similar confidential setting.
- FMLA and ADA/ADAAA experience required
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion and work in a team setting.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Strong customer service skillset.
- Knowledge of data management systems.
- PREFER: Experience with Infor Lawson and/or other HR Information Systems
- PREFER: FMLA Compliance and/or ADA/ADAAA Certification
