Location: Silver Spring MD

Schedule: Hybrid (23 days onsite)
Duration: Interim with potential for permanent hire
Overview
Seeking an experienced CFO to provide strategic financial leadership during a transition period. The ideal candidate will bring strong vision cash management expertise and the ability to partner with executive leadership and the Board. This role requires a proven track record in budgeting forecasting and managing professional service relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations reporting and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee budgeting forecasting and cash flow management.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to leadership and Board committees.
- Manage banking audit and investment relationships.
- Supervise finance team and ensure continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Support grant and restricted fund accounting.
Qualifications
- Extensive CFO-level experience in nonprofit organizations.
- Strong strategic planning cash management and Board presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct (preferred but not required).
- CPA or equivalent financial leadership background highly desirable.
