We are seeking an Assistant Manager Taxation & Finance to review financial reports monitor accounts and prepare accurate forecasts for strategic decisions. Job Responsibilities:
Taxation:
- Collect and organize necessary data for the filing of the Annual Income Tax Return.
- Prepare and submit monthly tax returns to FBR SBR and KAPRA after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Prepare and submit tax statements in accordance with tax regulations and reporting requirements obtaining necessary approvals.
- Prepare and submit withholding tax on a regular basis in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in line with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Effectively manage and maintain records related to tax cases and notices prepare and present documentation for tax-related matters ensuring accuracy and completeness in line with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Income/Sales Tax consultants for day-to-day matters seek advice on updated Statutory Regulatory Orders (SROs) and other tax-related issues to ensure compliance and informed decision-making.
- Efficiently issue tax certificates for external providers ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax regulations.
Accounting:
- Thoroughly verify bank payments receipts and journal vouchers (JVs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with established financial procedures and controls
- Effectively close the monthly trial balance ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records. Adhere to established accounting practices and reconciliation processes.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with established schedules and compliance requirements including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other statutory regulations.
- Prepare the notes to the accounts and schedules pertaining to annual semi-annual and quarterly financial statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the prompt publication of financial reports in accordance with specified timelines. Coordinate effectively with printers to ensure timely printing.
- Facilitate the distribution of financial reports to relevant stakeholders and interested parties ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
Costing:
- Oversee the systematic development of product standards ensuring a well-organized and presentable format for various reports. Guide the team to clearly define and structure standards to enhance effectiveness in reporting and analysis.
- Supervise to development of a framework to align product costs with list prices creating accurate pricing models. Lead the development of a real-time model showcasing profit margins enabling dynamic monitoring and adjustment of pricing strategies based on current cost data. Ensure continuous alignment between product costs and list prices for optimal margin management.
- Provide guidance in developing a comprehensive variance analysis report based on production data. Direct the breakdown of variances by batch group and date including a detailed analysis of actual performance against established standards. This approach ensures a thorough evaluation of variances at various levels supporting effective performance assessment and decision-making.
Payroll & Benefits:
- Prepare and accurately record monthly payroll including calculations for employees benefits bonuses and gratuity. Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and organizational policies.
- Calculate income tax for employees in accordance with relevant regulations.
Dividend Payment:
- Prepare working notes of dividend bonus shares payment of dividend and bonus shares to shareholders correspond and maintain relevant records.
Essential Technical Skills:
- Reviewing financial reports monitoring accounts and activity reports and financial forecasts. Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision-making. Keeping businesses compliant with various local state and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Qualification & Experience:
- ACCA/ACMA. A CA candidate is preferred.
- 4-5 years of experience in case of ACCA/ACMA and 6-10 years in case CA candidate.
