Career Consulting Partners is partnered with a leading plaintiffs personal injury law firm that has provided legal representation to clients across 40 cities throughout California and a staff of 40 employees. Their practice is dedicated to providing individuals who have suffered personal injuries or assaults with experienced compassionate legal representation.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal/Calendar Clerk with a strong background in elder abuse matters to join their Century City office. This role supports attorneys handling elder abuse matters from intake through trial while also managing critical calendaring and court-related tasks. The ideal candidate is proactive efficient and comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Draft and review pleadings discovery responses subpoenas correspondence and demand letters
Support attorneys in elder abuse litigation from initial intake through trial
Prepare organize and maintain exhibit binders trial materials and mediation briefs
Summarize medical records discovery materials deposition transcripts and facility records
Coordinate with clients experts medical providers and outside vendors
Assist with trial preparation including witness lists trial subpoenas exhibit management and related logistics
Complete e-filings in state and federal courts
Schedule hearings depositions mediations and all litigation-related deadlines
Maintain and update calendars for multiple attorneys
Track and manage court deadlines reminders and compliance dates
Prepare notices of hearings deposition notices and other calendaring documents
Oversee the service of pleadings and ensure all filings are timely and compliant
Qualifications:
A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal degree program is a plus
Certified Paralegal or Certified Legal Assistant designation a plus
A bachelors Degree is also a plus
Minimum 3-5 years of paralegal litigation experiencepreferably with elder abuse medical negligence or personal injury
Strong calendaring experience is required
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while meeting deadlines
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with MS Word Outlook Excel Adobe Acrobat and MS Office is required
Being bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Compensation: $40/hr - $50/hr
Paid Time Off (PTO) & Sick Days: Youll receive 10 paid days off annually
